The LaMotte 7041-G Calcium Hardness 2 Indicator is a 2 oz liquid reagent formulated for use in the calcium hardness testing process with LaMotte’s ColorQ and liquid reagent-based pool and spa water analysis kits. This indicator is added after the Calcium Hardness 1 Buffer (7042-G) to develop a color that signals the starting point for titration.
The reagent reacts with calcium ions in the water sample and produces a color shift that helps users visually or digitally track the endpoint during testing. Used in combination with LaMotte Calcium Hardness Buffer and Calcium Hardness Titrant, this indicator ensures accurate measurement of calcium hardness, which is essential for protecting pool surfaces and equipment.
