The LaMotte 7042-G Calcium Hardness 1 Buffer is a 2 oz liquid reagent used to begin the calcium hardness testing process in pool and spa water analysis. This reagent is specifically formulated to condition the water sample prior to titration with the calcium indicator and titrant reagents.
Used with LaMotte ColorQ 2x, ColorQ PRO 7, and other LaMotte liquid reagent test kits, 7042-G is step one in a three-part reagent series for determining calcium hardness — a key factor in preventing corrosion, scale buildup, and equipment damage in aquatic systems.
