The Rola-Chem 550183 Flow Switch is a float-style, in-line safety switch designed for use with Rola-Chem globe-style flow cells. This OEM replacement part monitors water flow and signals the controller to stop chemical feeding if flow is lost — preventing overfeeding and potential equipment damage.

Housed inside the flow cell’s clear globe (sold separately), the 550183 flow switch uses a low-friction float that rises with incoming water to complete a circuit. When flow stops, the float drops and interrupts the signal to the chemical feeder or controller.

This switch is critical for maintaining safe, controlled chemical dosing in pool, spa, and water treatment systems. Replace it when the existing unit fails to trigger properly or shows signs of corrosion or sticking.
